👥 Friend Code System
Enable your child to connect with friends safely using unique friend codes. You have full control over friend requests and can monitor all interactions.
How Friend Codes Work
The Friend Code system allows your child to connect with other Kids AI users in a safe, controlled manner. Before your child can add friends or be added by others, they must first create their unique Friend Code.
Your child must create a Friend Code before they can use any friend features. This ensures you're aware when they want to start connecting with others.
- Each child gets a unique, random friend code (e.g., TESCHI1002D0CFFMSNMO)
- Friend codes can be shared with trusted friends to send connection requests
- All friend requests require parental approval before being accepted
- You can view pending requests and current friends at any time
- Friend codes can be regenerated if needed for privacy
Before Creating a Friend Code
When your child first accesses the Friends section, they'll see a prompt to create their Friend Code. Until a code is created, no friend features are available.
A simple interface explaining that they need to create a Friend Code to start using friend features. They'll have a "Create Friend Code" button to get started.
After Creating a Friend Code
Once your child creates their Friend Code, they can share it with friends and manage their connections. The interface shows their code, pending requests, and current friends.
Your Friend Code: Displays the unique code (e.g., TESCHI1002D0CFFMSNMO) with "Copy Code" and "Add Friend" buttons
Pending Friend Requests: Shows incoming friend requests waiting for parental approval
Current Friends: Lists all approved friends your child can chat with
Managing Friend Requests
As a parent, you have complete control over your child's friend connections. All friend requests must be approved by you before your child can interact with that person.
- Review each friend request with details about who sent it
- Approve or deny requests from your parental dashboard
- Remove existing friends at any time if needed
- View all conversations between your child and their friends (if monitoring is enabled)
- Regenerate your child's Friend Code if it's been shared inappropriately
Friend Codes are designed to be safe and private. They don't reveal your child's name, age, or any personal information. Only children whose parents have approved the connection can interact.
